Slaat complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe content on Slaat infringes your copyright, send a takedown notice to our designated agent.

What your notice must include

To comply with 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
  • Identification of the material on Slaat that you claim infringes (URLs or specific identifiers)
  • Your contact information (mailing address, phone number, email address)
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed

Our response timeline

We aim to review valid notices within 1-2 business days. If we determine the content infringes, we will remove it and notify the user who uploaded it.

Counter-notification

If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or the result of misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g). Send it to legal@slaat.appwith the subject “DMCA Counter-Notification” and include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
  • Your name, address, and phone number, plus a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of US federal court for your judicial district

Repeat infringer policy

Slaat will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. After three substantiated takedown notices, the account is permanently suspended.

Reporting other content concerns

If you received a Slaat-generated contract that appears to be a scam, harassment, impersonation, or contains defamatory content, please report it to legal@slaat.appwith subject “Abuse Report” and include:

  • The link or token of the contract you received
  • Your name and contact email
  • A description of why the contract is concerning

We review abuse reports within 1-2 business days. Substantiated reports may result in immediate suspension of the sending account pending investigation.

False notices

Submitting a false DMCA notice or counter-notification may subject you to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees, under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
